Its not Hues Corporation. They sang Don't rock the boat. I have heard the original version on the radio and its quite mellow, I just dont know the artist!

Its definitely Hues Corporation and it was called Rock the boat

Thanks, but it's not, I have heard the original track on the radio but didn't get the artists name, it has a similar beat to Aaliyah and is sort of jazzy.

hues corporation did it in 1974 and then forrest covered it in 1983 so they were both right!!

Just been told it was also covered again in 1990 by Delange so maybe that is the version you are after
