Another trying to find song thread.

I heard a song in HMV the other day. It was a sort of reggae song, but it sounded recent and was sung by a girl or maybe two girls. The only lyric that I can remember is "an' ting" which I think was repeated a few times. I've googled but got no joy except for a song from 1978 and a load of stuff about The Ting Tings. The reason I use answerbank so much is because I'm terrible at googling. Anywho, does anyone perhaps know this song?

That is it Trim, but annoyingly that is the song I referred to from 1978. The thing is, the link I used on youtube to listen to it was different and it didn't sound like that. It's crazy to think of all the class songs out there that you just never hear. Thanks an' ting.

Althea & Donna is the one I immediately thought of but it's certainly not recent- I was ateenage when that came out and now I'm in my 50s!
Is that the one?
I can remember another reggae song called Thing (I think) from Pluto (I think) but that was mid 70s.

There was a version released by abs breen ( formally of 5ive) called "what you got" which uses the song

factor 30 - you are thinking of 'Dat' by Pluto Shervington - a similar song in that it has a jaunty reggae backing, and the lyric is a story in patois, so you need a translation to know what it's on about!
