I recently bought one of these from Asda, it was a 'rubberised' type thing, cheap n cheerful, but it soon melted onto the dash with the sun coming thro the windscreen and as it melted it actually oozed down the dash in an oily puddle. It has taken me 45 minutes to scrape the mess off and it has damaged the dashboard.
Dont buy cheapo versions of these things like I did peeps!

Complain.

Bitterly.

You are distraught about the damage to your pride and joy.

See what you can get out of them, They can afford it.

Had it been expensive I might have but it was only a couple of pounds, I chucked the packaging out so will have a look next time Im in Asda and see if they have more I could check. Its in a thousand wee oily rubbery pieces so couldnt take it back lol
The mat may not have been expensive, but the car is!
You say it has damaged the dashboard.

.. and then there is the emotional stress.

I would demand to speak to the store manager now.

I would perhaps settle for a 100 shopping voucher.

No actually, my internet persona PB would.

In real life I would probably end up apologising to him for wasting his time.
Hey weeal - I had trouble with things sliding about on my dashboard and I just put some of that stuff down that comes in a roll from Pound shops! Don't know what it's called, but it's a non-slip foamy type thing and it works a treat. (beware of leaving lip glosses on the dashboard in hot weather, eeuuww- messy!!) x

Hey hon, yeah Ive used that stuff in the past in the wee 'pouches' areas in the car (where u put keys n stuff) and I had the black one and it left marks on stuff too, I dont have much luck do I. It got stuck to a cassette case years ago and to this day it still has the black criss-cross design on the cover lol
