at junction 20 M62 there is the DoT weighbridge, VOSA wait on the hard shoulder to pull in their victims at J19 or Birch services the rules state NO STOPPING EXCEPT in emergency why can they do it ? and us mortals will get done
Hi, been an Ex HGV, the signs of HGVs been overloaded is by the Swell on the tyres Marvinmoon, this then gives the police the excuse to pull the HGV into the Weighbridge area then the whole HGV is checked for Taco infringements, weight, tyres, wheels nuts looses in other words an MOT but on a bigger scale, to the driver this a pain in the ars, but at the end of the day they are only looking at the drivers & the public's safety.
All road users have to obey all the rules of the road.
That includes police cars stopping at red lights when chasing criminals, they can only go through a red with lights and/or sirens on and if it is safe to do so.
they make the road rules
no HGV can be driven whilst over weight
when they stop you its for safety to other road users
you can be stopped and weighed even in your car and be over the legal weight for it
for those of you that have written about police cars jumping red lights it has to be done with caution at all times
