put a littel bit of bicarbonate of soda in your mix ( but take care
I sometimes add some finely chopped mushrooms to the batter. Or you could add a pinch of cayenne pepper to give it some zing. Or depending on what it is going with you could add chopped herbs appropriate to the dish.
You could also add a couple of teaspoons of wholegrain mustard or dried herbs to the batter ... delicious !!
Dried herbs !!!
Add some sage and onion stuffing mix...works a treat, being a yorkshire women I should know lol
if your puddings are made properly they should not need livening up have you been making yorkshire puddings or popovers?
SOME people eat them with jam!
I had some with horseradish in at a wedding at the weekend
Eat them inside yorkshire, then outside and see which tastes the best???
i do the same as garner and add some stuffing mix to the batter at times

Thanks everyone, love all the ideas and will try them all.
Using beef/meat dripping instead of oil to cook them sounds lots better. I dont make them often so i've never actually tried it.
