Motorway Service Stations or Travellodge Accommodation

We are travelling up to Scotland this Friday and will stay overnight either just above or below the border on the M6 or M74 . Can anyone recommend any of the possible overnight stops in that area either on the motorway or one within a very short distanc from it. Any tips appreciated

Just a reasonable stopover with own bathromm-ie shower WC . Can't seem to get a price unless I book probably looking at about £30-50 for a double.

There's a Premier Inn at Gretna Green just off the motorway. Perfectly comfortable places but not neccessarily cheap on a Friday night, especially if there are plenty of weddings planned for Saturday!

And another option is the Days Inn at the Services just off M74 - Gretna Green
