Since last Wednesday. No gritters, No post, No binmen. Local shops are a mile away. Car stuck in garage. ( Even if I could get it out the roads are impassable) Starting to run low on supplies but not desperate yet. I am just really p!ssed off with this weather. Please can we have some heavy rain NOW.

Christ on a bike, where are you? Antartica?
Just what I was thinking Boo. Nice wheels btw
I'm a mile from a shop but the indian take-away next door to it is still delivering
Disnt know they were having snow in India at the moment.....
micmak is west yorkshire like me, I know what he feels like, We managed to go out yesterday (wish I'd bought a toasty loaf) but today it hasn't stopped snowing and it's pretty bad where we are.
Sorry to hear that gran. You did manage to buy yourself a new hat tho - very nice!
mmm toasty loaf, just reminded me I bought a fruit loaf from asdas last night
Bah !

You're all just showing off.............:o(

We had snow-flakes for about 30 minutes this afternoon and nothing since then.
Item down here with a young couple who got stranded and walked two hours to home - then yesterday walked back and couldnt get the car out, so some shopping and walked back.

I find that a little hard to believe as 2hrs would equate to about 6 miles and in most of Cornwall there is something within that distance - and most people passing in a 4x4 or tractor etc would give them a lift......However, good luck micmak as its not fun - we were isolated because of icy lanes for 48 hours but now out (until tomorrow? as snow is due overnight)
A mile to local shops is'nt too far, micmak, to stock up on supplies......... comfortable wellies, nice warm jacket, scarf etc, flask of coffee to keep you going........and possibly a husky and sled if you can nick one.

Fully understand that it can be frustrating if roads impassable, but better than getting stuck out in it or having an accident.

Supposed to get milder at the weekend down here on the south coast ( dont know where you are )....but we have at least 2 more days of freezing ice, snow and -7 or lower temps till at least Friday daytime.
I saw that just now, yogi - rain forecast for Saturday according to one forecast, but minus 7 on another - not a cheery combination!
So bored with this weather already and we haven't got through Christmas yet
awww we have a couple of feet of it, it wont always be around mikmac, have faith pet ;-)
I really hope it's milder by Saturday, boxie.......gotta drive to South London to do a gig and dont fancy driving up in piggin' snow and ice.
me and thee in Lanzarote soon bear...lol
Well in the soft south it's bitterly cold but no snow. I'd love some.
