Hi there. Having some serious problems with the ignition sticking on my Vectra 2.0 DTi. Took me about 30 minutes to get it working at garage this evening. Been to vauxhall and they tell me i need a vauxhall passport which i dont have. If i were to buy a barrel and key off ebay would this work ok. If so, can anyone point me in the right direction as to which one of the many listed on Ebay would be any good. I'm not bothered if i have to use 2 keys (i.e. 1 for ignition, 1 for doors). Cant really afford the £200 figure that vauxhall are quoting me to sort it. Thanks in advance for any help.

If the barrel and cylinder can be removed by normal workshop means .. then it may just need a cylinder build.
If a new barrel/cylinder is required, a key 'can usually' be made to match original.
Is it a chipped key like a CorsaB?
