My sons partner gave her father permision to park 2 old cars on her council property. Now a neigbour needs access blocked by the cars for a macine to lop trees,
My son and his partner have repeatedly asked him to come and remove them,he says he will come and do it but never does.
The council and scrap merchants say they cannot remove them without the owners permission.
What advise if any?Could the DVLA be an option. My son lives in Scotland. My son says what if he drags the cars into the street.and say they have been abandoned, whould the council act then.i told him i dont think that would be wise.

call in a scrap dealer to remove them and give them the owners address.
phone them first to check.

just drag them to the road an leave it at that...tell the dad what you have done...they are presumably untaxed etc so he will act fast of he doesnt want a fine...
dont report him yourself...he is out of order to put you in this position but he is her dad after all.. so once theyre in the street they are no longer your problem...
I think if you jusy drag them out and leave them then you will be the one abandoning them and could be charged (I can't remember what it is your charged with though)
