Golf Purchase

Morning!!

I want to purchase a Golf (not brand new). I had a V6 4motion a few years ago and loved it. I would like a nice nippy Golf (cant afford an R32) - any recommendations?

Yes I had thought of a GTi - in fact went to see one this morning!! Thank you.

Have you not tried a GTI diesel...they are as quick as the petrol version.
They come with the nice interior and are six speed.
My neighbour has one...he travels about 100 a day and gets around 55 mpg.
Not to be ignored with the current price of fuel.

I only do about 7000 miles a year so am not sure it would make much difference to me. Is the perrformance better in a deisel version?

Why not find one that is for sale and ask the owner to give you a spin in it.If you havent been in one, you will be pleasantly surprised.
The diesel is quicker at 0-60...the diesel will also cost you a premium to buy compared to the equivalent petrol version. But will also hold that premium when it comes to re-sale time.
