i often have to travel on very bendy dark country lanes, but i sometimes get someone driving right up behind me wanting to speed...they believe this will make me speed up for some reason...do people not realise that all this does is dazzle my 3 mirrors, meaning i cant see a thing - so i will slow down...(also i will slow for spite too hehe)

but why do people do this?? do you do this? if so, are you unaware you make basically rendering me blind to the road ahead and therefore i cannot speed up anyway...??

again just curious

thanks

''but why do people do this??''

a. People to see

b. Places to go

c. They're arseholes
what's with all the driving questions? have you had a bad day?
You said there, joko.......................slow rightdown and get on their tits, so they either overtake when they feel brave enough or if you are full beamed, using your mirror inside, position it so that their beam goes straight back to them.
You are in front of them and it is them that wants to make you go faster..................simply dont.

If you feel intimated, pull over a bit, indicating, and let them pass ( but i dont )
as snags says at line c.
I give a tap on the brake pedal without braking, if that doesn't push them back,on goes the rear fog lamps.so far that has always worked.
LOL...................sara x

Does sound like it, does'nt it?
what speed would you actually be driving at? slow drivers can be (almost) as dangerous as fast ones.
safer to let them go, there are some real nutters out there, if they have a death wish then let them get on with it alone!!
I sometimes find a bit of work with the brake and fog lights has the desired effect.
I find a 12 bore helps in these situations.....

lol to all

no, not had a bad day really, just been busy and had a few questions occurred to me lately that i have only just got chance to actually ask on here, haha

i drive average around 35-40 on these roads, and faster on the longer straighter bits...which i think is fast enough really...they are pretty bendy - referred to locally as 'the bends' and 40 is hardly a crawl

i'll try that with the mirrors i think, and also wih the fog lights...i usually just go slower ...then when they pass i cathc up with them an do the same with my highbeams...hoping to annoy and educate at the same time haha
joko.....have you left school yet?
