Hi, if its any consolation the same happened on my ford focus, which i drove for a further 2 years without any problems, but as you said, it may be a fault. not sure what though, maybe alarm related.
May be a silly question, but are you sure you pressing and holding the button for 2-3 seconds ?

derekpara... hi thanks for replying , ive tried that but still they dont flash.. if i set the alarm off then the indicators all flash but still when double locking they dont...
Have you tryed double locking it with the using key in the door?

Or are all the door locks working cuz i had 1998 mondeo and if a lock or a solinoid is sticking the rest still lock and goes through the motions of double locking but the indicators wont flash?
Im sure there is a self test mondeo owners can do it something like unlock the car, lift bonnet, press the rubber gromit thing which records the bonnet is down 10 times for the alarm, then lower the bonet it should then make 1 beep of the alarm and then open and close 1 door at a time waiting for the signal if no beep then its theat lock that is faulty... Im sure some1 will correct me if im wrong :-)
