ford fiesta headlight problem

Ford fiesta 1997 1.3 petrol has a headlight problem. Dipped beam keeps going off eventhough main beam and sidelights are fine. We have replaced the stalk with a new one and had electrician to try and check systems butit is intermitant.

Have u checked the fuse? Wen a fuse is old it sometimes tend to not make proper connection (sometimes cause of corrosion I've experience that recently). If that doesn't work check the relay thats located next to the lever.
