J reg Espace pulling back/plus bad headlight

Our espace is pulling back all the time. as i acc it jerks back, (sort of missing or running out of fuel)
even when i get to 70,which takes awhile to reach.
tick over is abit erattic. Had a friend check the plugs/vaccum and clean dis.
Ps it did go away one day. and i thought that it cleared itself. But no. The exhaust box at back is loose.
Any help out there.
also my halogen bulb is really dull one side. I changed it but its the same?

I could write you a list a mile long on causes of running problems on petrol engines, I would take Panic Button's advice, give it a good service. Going on my own past experience it sounds as if the fuel filter needs changing as a first step. If it helps my Renault 25 had two, one a metal canister near the tank and another smaller one under the bonnet.
Regarding the headlamp, if changing the bulb made no difference I would suspect that water has got into the lamp and dulled the silver reflector in the back of the unit. The only cure for that is to fit a new headlamp.

Thanks. joined the forum. one guy had a problem with sensors. ecu.might get it checked out.

there is an air flow regulator on them i had the same problem you can check it by squeezing the pipe to reduce air flow send me an email address i will send you the page in work shop manual showing where to find it and i will explain how to do the check if it is that prob they are 150 to replace new or you can get one off a merc which is ajustable from a scrappy and its cheaper
