Firefox problem

Trying to open Firefox today but just get the very top left hand corner - file, edit, view on the menu bar & the minimize , max, & close buttons . Uninstalled & reinstalled - same thing .
Have it open in safe mode at the minute .
Any ideas pls ?

Close it now.

Then check your task manager processes (not applications) - if it is there, end task it.

Thanks Ethel but it's not there . That was the only way I could end it when it was coming up as the top corner .

Have you done anything different - installed a new theme or extension, perhaps?

Can you disable all your themes and add ons from safe mode firefox?

If so, do that, close it and then try starting it normally

There already disabled as part of safe mode . I'm thinking a system restore but trying to avoid it as I've just downloaded 9 Vista updates

No - a system restore won't solve it.

What I meant was in your tools - add ons, can you disable them so they don't start automatically in normal mode?

Job jobbed . Disabled them, shut down , opened in normal mode , re-enabled them. Fine now.
