Hi I have a Corsa C SRi 2004.

I have a problem with the steering. It knocks over speed bumps if you go faster then crawling speed.

It also pulls the steering wheel out of your hands almost when you hit a dip/hole in the road on one side. There is a hill I go down somtimes which is banked towards the grass. I have to fight with the steering wheel to not end up in the bushes.

Its been to a reputable garage that can see the knocking problem but not the other. They can't see where the knocking is coming from as its hard to re enact on the ramp. They went over all the steering and all is tight.

Its had the recall on the steering bolt which is a problem with them.

Do I need to take it to vauxhall?
What could it be?

Thanks, Chris

make sure both top & bottom bolts on the steering U/J are tight, they can knock if loose & make the steering feel funny, the bottom would have been the wty 1,also check that the bolt that holds the steering wheel on is tight, but you'll have to remove the air bag to check it.,so make sure you know what you are doing b4 touching it
another thing that could cause this are the anti rol bar links may be knocking & need replacing.this is quite common.
