Rofl :) Hadn't even noticed :)
I got ripped off some years ago. I wanted a new kitchen and phoned a local company to come and give me a price. The rep came with samples of worktops etc and promised me all sorts of extra stuff. I placed the order and paid the deposit and the day of delivery arrived and I was just left with umpteen flat packs. They had promised me fitting, new electrics, washing machine, telescopic towels rails and a wine rack fitted into a space next to the fridge. When I phoned them to complain I got a load of abuse and so I had to pay extra for a fitter and an electrician. The washing machine didn't work and my towel rails never appeared. This company has now been on national tele exposed as rogues.
House sale. I told my solicitor I wanted 2 clauses removed from the terms, he told me they were 'standard', I didn't follow it up, unsure what he meant. 'Standard' meant that they were 'standard' for his firm, ie he was acting for the buyer also. )*))*)g bast@rd. Cost me several grand. Now I understand all the 'lawyer' jokes.
