removing silicone sealant

i have stupidly let silicone cure on the paintwork around my windscreen while repairing a water leak.
Is there any silicone remover available that would remove silicone without damaging paintwork?

Toureman		(Thu 14:12 15/May/08) When the silicone has fully cured you should be able to get your finger nail under it and pull it off if your bodywork had polish on it.
bertiemje		(Thu 20:36 15/May/08) use thinners. it wont take the paint off like you would think
