i have a year old seat ibiza which is due its first service after 1 year or 10,000 miles whichever comes soonest.
I have only 5,000 miles on the clock.
Do I have to use a garage for service to protect my warranty? If not what record do i need to keep?

you dont have to use a seat garage,but you should use a garage who are VAT registered,and you must use genuine seat parts.and keep all the receipts.

Given that I have only 5000 on the clock it shouldnt need much done. Does the price quoted for a service cover anything except labour?

usually a garage price for a service includes everything,parts and labour,but allways check first.
