VW Camper Insurance...

Hi People,
I am planning on buying a VW Camper soon- Bay window, 1600 or 1800 petrol engine, imported from Australia, RHD, built in 1972.
I can't seem to get a quote for fully comp insurance! I work till late and cos it is imported I can't get a quote online and the offices are all shut now...
Anyone know what sort of money I'm going to pay? I will be (just) 25 when the policy starts, my hubby, well over 25, will be a named driver and we'll go 3000-5000 miles per year max. Oh, and it will be kept on the road...
Anyone got a camper and care to share their premiums with me?
I have absolutely no idea what it will cost- �150 - �1500!!

a classic insuranc is the way to go by the looks of things try buying a vw based car magazine and look in the back of them you will find insurance no problem in there
