yes pretty certain thats what it is have been told this before by numerous people. to be honest the fresh air vent has worked well so cant really complain .but need to solve the problem when stopped. Think maybe changing lines to braided hoses would do the trick.
I can't believe that the petrol is "boiling". How do you know? The engine would have to be unbelievably hot to affect the fuel (which would suggest another problem). I owned a "bay" for 16 years and have worked on many others over the years and NEVER came across anything like you describe. You MUST take professional advice because if you are right you are parking a potential bomb in a petrol station ! The mind boggles !

maybe not the right word but the fuel gets warm inside the hose and evaporates. i know this happens because i have watched the fuel when i have had problems with it and the fuel lines are really warm.
