What could cause squeaking on the accelerator of a Vauxhall Zaferia. It happens on changing gear when the accelerator is depressed, and the squeak is constant at about 60mph when the engine is not being laboured.

It's driving me mad!!!!

Sounds like you have a mouse trapped under the accelerator, try leaving some cheese on the driver's seat overnight and if its gone by morning then you know it is a mouse !
If its not gone they maybe the pivot point needs a little bit of lubrication, try WD40 or similar.

If only it was so simple, tried both without success!

Called at the Vauxhall dealers today, they are puzzled and want to book it in for investigation (sounds expensive!) so I'm hoping it find another solution. The garage thought it was linked to the engine?
