Never had a problem before today with this car. Today however It refused to start. The glow plugs have been replaced in the last 6 months, the filters have been changed recently. I used a bit of easy start this morning and it started almost straight away. Once it started it ran ok and started every time after that. It seems to be the first start of the day. There has been no warning of this problem and the drives perfectly once it starts. Could this be caused by the injectors or maybe an air getting in the fuel system. TIA

If air was getting in the system then it wouldn't run very well hot or cold, you could try the relay that feeds power to the glow plugs or get a voltage tester so when the ignition is on make sure there is 12 volts getting to each glow plug....

this is inherent prob on pug tds - yes relay is at fault . as could be injectors -(the latter too expensive to fix) .When the glow plug light goes off wait about 10 secs and then start
