Hi
can you disconnect the cable at the engine end to see if its the cable or throttle body? then decide either to free up the offending bit with a penetrating oil, if its the cable you may want to replace it.
its been a damp winter!
good luck
Hi
I have a Mazda 323F 1.8 1999, which has 'seasonal' occurances of the accelerator pedal sticking. Usually a quick tap with the foot frees it up. If it keeps on sticking, then it gets a "clean out and free off throttle housing flap and lubricate cable" during its next service, which sorts the problem out.

the throttle body is a common fault on this vehicle for sticking when stud
