rover 620 diesel cambelt change

i have a rover 620 sd can any body tell me whats it like to change the timing belt myself thanks

Not so easy, get a haynes manual and after studying it make your own mind up.

book time is about 2.2 hours.. if its your first time on one you could easily double that .

special tool are normally required on your engine.. (i think.. should be the two belt setup?). but you can do it without them.
a drill bit will normally suffice to hold the pump pully in place.

it all looks pretty tight down there but once the top engine mounts are out the way, there is bags of room.

just so you know.. valve damage is most likely to happen if you get the timing wrong..
