I've now got a new SD memory card for the above camera (dealt with in an earlier question of mine), but I now have a new query.................... How do I know how many pics I have available to take? When I view a pic it only tells me 1/2 or 2/2, i.e. it tells me how many I have taken NOT how many I have left. I've looked thru the user manual and can't find the answer. Help please? T.I.A.

Hi, it depends how many pixels you are using and the size of the card. If you can get hold of a "Jessops" catalogue there is a chart on page 50 with it all set out for you. Hope this helps!

Hi perose

I'm using a 512MB card with the camera set to "high quality". I know how many that card will take, but I'm not always gonna remember that figure.
With that size card and being used on high quality it should take approx 350 images.

Thanks, but will it show me 1/350, 2/350, 3/350, etc?
Not sure with Canon, I have a Fuji and that shows me when I take each picture.

Well, as I said I can't find any reference to it - either on the display or in the book, but thanks for your help.
Ususal ixus controls would mean toggle through the display modes, when in 'record' mode. There should be a number in the top right of the viewfinder that will tell you the number of pictures you can take at your current settings.
The only thing the ixus range didn't usually display was the remaining battery life.
