i have a 1997 automatic i has a intermitant fault when starting the ignition lights come on but the engine does not turn i have had the AA out 3 times eac time thay fiddle around for about 1 hour it then starts .thay the(AA ) that is then tell me its cured about 3 mounths later it does it again thanks steve

Well all automatics have an interlock (inhibit) switch of some kind in the gear selector mechanism which prevents you to start the engine if the gearbox is not in N or P , sounds like you are having a problem with the inhibit switch, probably you either need to adjust the setting of yours or buy a new one.

if you go on the parkers website you will find under the advice forum a section just for people like you with a poorly parisian pram!
