How do you replace the airbags in a 2002 Nissan Micra after they have deployed?

Certainly not a DIY job . I am afraid it.s an expensive trip to the Nissan dealershiip unless you can claim via the insurance if they were activated by an accident.
As someone said, not recommended as a DIY job, but not impossible as long as you remember you are handling an explosive charge when you are handling an airbag module. When one of these systems deploy, it wrecks the Airbag Electronic Control Module, so you will need one of them, as well as the dash (if it fired) module and the steering wheel module, also the seatbelt pretensioners may have fired as well. A Haynes manual might describe how you actually go about getting access to replace it, just remember while you are working on the Airbag system the car should have the battery disconnected for at least 1 hour before working on it to allow the capacitors in the system to discharge. Costly business!
