Is there a way of "getting round" vehicle trackers or am i doomed to sit in my van clocking up hours?

thought i read on here somewhere about taxi drivers in newcastle wrapping the device in tin foil. something to do with it not allowing them to choose whether or not to pick up a fare. personally i dont know. if it was easy to get round, they would'nt sell very well....
lol, that was my answer. The cabbies round here wrap the tracker things in old tin cans stuffed with foil to distort the signals. Stops anyone knowing where they are and therefore they don't have to pick upfares near where they are, but insead can cherry pick the ones they actually desire.
of course there are ways round everything,including doing the above.but be aware its put there for a reason in lorries,vans etc and i would think your employer would not look too kindly on you if something untooward happened to you or the vehicle whilst it was in service.be carefull latecomer
