Chicken Jambalaya
Question Author
I feel like chicken tonight.

I wonder how many puns we can squeeze into this thread...
children having spaghetti hoops and scrambled eggs if that floats your goat more
mally do you make your own jambalaya?
Question Author
My goat doesn't float. He doesn't like water.
and if so do you have a recipe?
Question Author
I think you can do it in the slow-cooker, bednobs.
Steak, chips, peas, grilled tomatoes.
Did the Lidls shop yesterday. They have Christmas reductions. Whole side of salmon marked down from
£9.99 to £4.99 so I bought one. It's flavoured with dill and lemon. Has to be cooked from frozen so will cook it and freeze half.
Having it with new potatoes, green beans, sweetcorn done with garlic, honey and mustard and peas and a parsley sauce.
Having co-ops Apple and gin spiced pate with salad as a starter.
This pate is delicious, worth looking out for.

I had a couple of sides of salmon from Aldi on Christmas Eve for £4.50 each. I cut into portions and froze.

I fancy doing something with minced beef, but not the usual cottage pie or pasta and ragu.

Any ideas from the Gastronomes?
Lady you need to blow some air into your goat to make a float.
Got a roast dinner prepped just need to get it on.
Fillet steak and chips (not those hateful oven chips) with a Diane sauce and a little green salad. Chip butty is a given.

Make a chilli con carne with the minced beef and do either a jacket spud or rice with sweetcorn and chopped red capsicum.
We're having Shepherdess Pie, thats Shepherd Pie less the meat. I have a couple of courgettes and a leek to use up.

You could go Mexican with your minced beef LadyCG. Maybe do some enchiladas in the oven, or how about baked savoury pancakes?
I see that you have booked St Ives again Lady. We were there (right on the dock by Smeatons Pier) at the end of September and are already booked for last week in May. Again right on the quay by the pier.
Bednobs....just google Jambalaya recipes and you will have a large choice.........alternatively Swartz do a packet of jambalaya spice.....whichever way you fancy doing it!
Roast chicken new potatoes, carrots and peas.
