Mazda MX5, Toyota MR2, Lotus elise, Lotus exige, Smartcar roadster, MGF.
As someone who has recently bought a Toyota MR2 as a female mid life crisis, I would highly recommend it
mgf's are great fun and cheap
how much have you got to spend? if moneys no object then it would have to be a porsche boxster, the ultimate roadster. mercedes slks are the business too.
how much do you want to spend ?
new or used?
tried the boxster , highly overrated ,expensive to run
honda S2000 on the other hand , a jewel

but if you want a reasonably priced daily driver , used, don't consider anything other than the mazda ; check with your insurance agent before you buy anything , insurance will be excessive if the model with boy racers
Id have to go with the MX5 as well. They run like clockwork and are fun to drive. Plenty about, and this is a good time of year to buy a convertable, so be choosy.

Thankyou to all who answered what sports car. I have decided on the MX5. Just read the report in what car magazine, this car is the only one with 5 stars, must be good.
Go for a Morgan V-twin and have some real fun!
agree with lesbesset. Honda S2000's are the bees knees. Group 20 Insurance, but with Honda reliability you should save in the long run.
