Changes Ownaership Of Car

I wish to change the ownership of my car to my wife; DVLA sites is useless so how d I do this? My previous local DVLA office has closed of course.

You show the changes on your log book V5 and send it off, I believe - they then send your wife a new V5.

I suggest you do it at the end of a month. You will be changing ownership so, under the new rules, you will get the tax refunded for all complete months remaining and she will have to buy a new "disc" starting at the beginning of the month you do the exchange, so you stand to lose a month's tax.

yes send off the V5, you will be paying double VED for the month though.
