I would not watch that person if you paid me Prudie.

I held my Class 1 For a good while after finishing Driving Tony, I have now let it go, they do not want Drivers now they want Pilots, I find enough to do.
Yes, Quizzes, Crosswords,AB, Card making, knitting and sewing when light is right, Toy making.

Then lots of time with the Grandchildren, four of them.
Theres a lot of pressure on lorry drivers these days, TWR. The wagon drivers that come and go from where I work don't seem to have a minute after unloading or loading before there off on the road again.
Well if they follow the rules Tony, they must have rest breaks.
They probably do Hopkirk but they don't seem to have their break at our place.
Evening, Sweetie.....I retired very early because of MrG's illness but since I have been properly retired I have loved every minute....

I have a wonderful circle of friends....real, fun and caring friends....I joined an adventure club....have lots of hobbies.....and then there is the extended Irish family...who could get bored....

I hope I can skid sideways into my grave shouting...WHOA!!!! WHAT A RIDE.....☺

That's one of the reasons I called it a day Tony, I could see what was coming, there was a Depot in your area just off the Ring Road off the A38 going into the City, they said in our depot Nr Preston Lancs, that you could do 2 loads per night, my reply to that, if "you" can do it British Airways need you.
Mic and I are both now retired. We saved money all our working lives and envisaged spending winters in the sun. All that was taken away in the blink of an eye. The saved money is now spent on carers, convenes and pads. So my advice to anyone approaching retirement is to GET IT SPENT now while you can enjoy it.
I went into our local primary school to help with the children's reading, and stayed 15 years ( I wasn't retired, though,my youngest grandson who I looked after several hours a week started school and I was at a loose end) and it was the most rewarding thing I've ever done........
Not retired, but virtually housebound. I play PC games, come in here, go on FB and knit/crochet for these people: http://www.knitforpeace.org.uk/ as well as make knitted toys for my family.

I don't think I'll ever be able to afford to retire. Luckily I love my job, so don't feel like I'm working anyway.
I love it, worked till I was 72 silly me, I do exactly what I want don't get dressed until after JK then its all systems go, have joined Streetlife on the net for my local area, made new friends and meet up for ladies lunches, pub nights etc go to computer classes at our local adult college made friends there too, go to bingo 2 nights a week and pick up en route people who need help to get there eg one wheelchair one on arm crutches , looked after a little dog for a week whilst his owner took her 7 year old to Butlins, I got a small garden and grow my own beans, tomatoes and herbs & roses, I tell you its all go ! Life is what you make it folks.
