Oh no here we go again, who does Henry think he is, he has done all right for himself so what's his problem?

These black actors don't leave these shores because they can't get acting roles in the UK, they go because they think that they can earn more money in the USA.

Actor Lenny Henry has criticised the BBC's plans to increase on-screen diversity by 5% in the next three years.

Henry said the black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) community had "initiative fatigue".

Shows the actors are not stupid. Stay gor a bit part in east enders or go to hollywood. I kniw what I would do.

It is true though AOG and acknowledged by most people in the industry, and it's not just minority actors, it's women, especially older women too. It was being discussed the other day in a group I'm part of and the consensus was from actors of all ages and ethnicities that there was not enough minority representation.

But unless the parts are for minority characters, you can't just cast people. I can't say I've noticed a particular shortage of ethnic casting in the things I watch.

I found the casting of a black actor in the Three Musketeers quite bizarre, but perhaps that's because historically they've always been white Europeans.

That's not really true tbh. Most roles can be taken by actors of any ethnicity, or sex very often if they are not major roles. I mean a Dr could be male, female, black, white, chinese , Asian, USUALLY- not always but usually. The same with handicapped actors, they don't only have to play handicapped characters because handicapped people are everywhere in real life.

Handicapped? Gosh, I haven`t heard that term for years. The term is disabled these days, or persons with reduced mobility (since we are splitting hairs)
