We have a super-dooper, hi-tech heating system.......I haven't a clue how it works but thankfully we are so well insulated the variance in temp between having heating on and off is only 3 degrees!

I'm surprised by your post though as I thought it was the hardy men that turned down the thermostat!

It's usually the other way round isn't it? Women turn it up, men turn it down. Here I turn it down and everyone else turns it back up.

I tun it to 18 and MrT turns it to 20. Those extra two degrees make a lot of difference. Perhaps we should try 19.

Yes, i turn ours off. They turn it on. Maybe it depends who pays...

MrG turned it up.....I turned it down.....I found that a few drops of crazy glue on the thermostat puts them off.......x

No, ours is set about 18 most of the time.

Interestingly I got some free room thermometers from our chemist - I knew the temperature varied through the house, the living room is about 3 degrees warmer than the bathroom and bedroom.

The cupboard at the top of the stairs reads 9 degrees at the moment, but we know we have a draught problem there :-(

To give him his due, Mr Tilly did hoover, wash the floor, dust and take the dogs out whilst I was out today. He didn't have the heating on then. I would hate you to think he was a lazy get!
