Second Key For A 2006 For Ka

I recently bought a second hand Ford Ka which only came with one key. Is there any way I could get a spare key without going to Ford? There is no central locking or anything fancy so I would imagine there is no chip or anything in the key.

If it is a normal key you could go to a locksmith and get one cut.

Would it affect the insurance if I have one cut at a locksmith?

It may well have a chip which disengages the immobiliser.

getting one cut is the easy bit, its if it needs programming it becomes a problem...i would asssume a 2006 Ka would...
