read in the paper yesterday this couple and teenage kids went on a cruise with Royal Caribbean passenger capacity 3,600 people and 2,500 of them turned out to be bikers & partners on their annual cruise, they took over the ship and made everyone's life a misery. How unlucky can you get, it was for the woman's 50th birthday.

Poor things, the holiday company really should have told them.
Hope their next holiday will be a Triumph.
Whilst I do agree a warning from the holiday company would have been nice...looks like fun to me! But then I do have a thing for facial hair...lol

I have a thing for facial hair too. It's called a razor.
Should have known when the passenger list was all Mr. Harley, Miss Davidson and Sue Zuki.
I was reading this on Friday - from the sound of it the bikers didn't take over the ship, it was a planned, organised theme cruise. Bit remiss of the travel company though

Having read Humbersloop's link, I don't think any mistake could have been made with the booking. It's obviously a PARTY ship.

I have never fancied a cruise too many people that you cant get away from and all that queing to get off at ports and for restaurants, but thats just me, hubby lived on a berthed cruise ship for 3 years and he didnt like it that either and he had a cabin next to the captain, it must be just us ! the killjoy family !
have you got a link to the article you were reading dee?
I'd rather have them than be on all the other cruises that have everyone chucking up and worse from Norovirus at the moment. I wouldn't give you a thank you for a cruise.

humber sorry I am usless with computers [ but taking lessons] it was yesterday Sat 29th Dec page 9 of the Daily Mail, maybe some kind person can oblige ? the pics of big bellied bikers for the "belly smacking"comp at the pool is enough to put you off your breakfast.
Sorry. Not a refund. A full credit towards their next booking.
Question Author
a full refund in vouchers against another cruise, before the Mail got involved they were only offered £150 in vouchers !
The point about cruises is that you get what you pay for..........gone are the days when only the privileged few went on cruises, now cruises are available to .....ANYONE........and you see what you may get.
Dress codes have changed over the years, now, some cruises allow one to wear beechwear in the restaurants.
The same is with 5 star hotels....open to plebs who don't know how to behave or dress appropriately.

I bet, that the "non bikers" on that cruise who were not snobs, came off that cruise as confirmed lifetime snobs.
Five star's open to all of us now, sqad..... if you can afford it, you can go.

I must admit I was surprised to see people with backpacks and flipflops at dinner in our hotel in Malta a couple of years ago, I still think it's nice to change for dinner (even though the full DJ stuff is only for special occasions these days).
boxy....I agree entirely....standards of dress and behavior have fallen.
Careful with the word "pleb" Squad. When Andrew Mitchell was accused of using it, 30 police were put on the investigation.
Graham....LOL....I chose that word carefully for a response.......;-)
