I think I am one of a dwindling minority? Not on FB and don't ever want to be!

I am not bothered about it either.
I resisted for a long time, and I have only dipped my toe in - I am very selective who I respond to, and I have stuck on as many privacy tools as I can. If I didn't belong, I'd never see the pics of all the new babies in the family, since we are all so far flung.
For gossips only.
disagree - I can't stand the people who live their lives on there, I certainly don't, but it's a great tool for sharing information if you are selective.

Ahhh kitty i not the last one after all lol. Yeah box I know what u mean as "everyone" in my family seem to be on it.
Question Author
Needawin ... What I don't "get" is how many people seem to live / share every aspect of their lives on it. Granted I am sure there r exceptions but listening to folk talk makes me wonder
I keep up with family and friends and 'chat' with local friends for free.
It's great.
Never have been, never will be.
Question Author
Box you mention privacy tools... But is it possible to be completely private with it? For eg I know you can decline a friend request but can u stop someone sending u such a request in the first place? Just curious?
Yes, if you find them and block them.
Question Author
Oh ... Ok ummm. So if u block a person prior to a friend
request do they "know" they're blocked? Like I said I'm not on FB but wondering is all
Not on F/B or any other site like it, Just this one. What I dislike is all the ads on TV that say find out what happens next on F/B.
If they don't know you're on FB there's no way they would know they are blocked.
I just don't respond to those requests, if you click on it you can either accept, or say Not Now - I do that all the time.
Question Author
Yeah jeza ... I'm thinking we're all gonna "have to" sign up! Just thus week I was on a job website and it said to view all new jobs via FB or twitter only.
I hate that. Most advertisers have FB pages now - I like to go in for competitions and these days you often have to Like theri FB page to get an entry.
No....not on Facebook.......can't see the need.
Interesting even our NHS Trust now has FB and Twitter links now - ironic when not that long ago, we weren't allowed to access those sites on work computers!
Question Author
So box pls educate me ... If u like a FB page (eg for a comp) can u "delete / unlike" it after?
