MOT regs

My cars MOT runs out of 12th July. If I take my car to the garage on say, 6th July and get it mot'd will the new expiry date be 6th July?

LOL, I'm trying to squeeze as much as I can out of it!

your existing MOT certificate will show the earliest date you can have your new MOT without altering the date....i think its 28 days

No it will be the 12th July, you can take your car one month before the expiry date.

You need to take your old certificate with you also :)

you dont need your old mot certificate

Whilst it is computerised when your old MOT expires, I would still take current MOT with me and remind them that it is still in force even though shouldn't be required.
