Mitsubishi Panin 3door 4X4 - Transfer Box failure

Anyone else had this problem? I have a 2004 Panin which decided to empty all the fluid out of the transfer box and consequently sieze on me. Can only be repaired by Mitsubishi and cost me £1890...............
