When insuring your phone with Natwest, (and I'm sure most other insurance companies) I've noticed it says you have to provide proof of purchase inorder to insure. What happens if the phone was given to you by a relative or you bought the phone on ebay over a certain time ago so can't get the relevant details to provide!

Does it mean you can't get the phone insured??

Thanks

yes, if one of the conditions of getting the insurance is that you have to have proof of purchase then you can't take out that insurance unless you have it. You could look around at policies to see if any don't make that stipulation
