Hi abers,

What's your opinion on this?

The subframe mounts on my Zafira have flattened through W&T and to replace them is a complete stripdown!
It hasn't failed the MOT but the knocking is unbearable!

As a cheap, cheat - do you think jacking the car up and injecting windscreen bonding into the gaps would work and would there be any MOT comebacks in future?

I know bonding hardens into a solid rubber and was planning to leave it to harden overnight before lowering the car off the jacks.

It doesn't sound like a very good idea to me, there must be a better Idea than that somewhere,
how about a solid rubber washer, the type that is used for exhaust mounts, cut with a stanley knife to allow insertion.

I did contemplate that but assumed it would work it's way out even if glued as I don't know of any adhesive that would withstand such punishment.

Thanks
Hi, If you are going to do the job PLcC380, do the job right you said the knocking is unbearable if it's like that now just wait until the rubber goes completely then you will hear some knocking. the job is not as bad as what you think.
