The fuel system on a nissan takes a few minutes to cycle through its diagnistic mode. If the enging is started and stopped before this mode finishes it can be a real bu**er to startup again. One soloution if this happens is to pull out the fuse which controls the fuel management system then start the car. What will happen is the car will start a bit roughly and there may be a bit of smoke out the exhaust from unburnt fuel this is normal. once it is running happily switch her off an pop the fuse back in when you restart it should be fine.
