My Ocado Delivery.

Thinking that lightning doesn't strike twice and I'd not get a second duck with a dick I decided to have my Christmas goodies delivered......

Plenty of delivery updates and the van arrived bang on time....the lovely driver handed me two bags and he'd be back with the rest when he'd cleared the mess in his van....

I put the two bags on the hall carpet and discovered the source of his mess....a smashed bottle of red wine......
Took me as long to try to clean my carpet as it did him to clean his van.......then we discovered that the rest of my order was undeliverable......red wine goes a flippin' long way.....unless of course I'm drinking it.....
No chocs....Bailey's....coffee pods.....butter.....lots of treats ruined.....and no replacement delivery till January.......
So a shopping trip tomorrow....bums!..... :-)

Gness....I have never used Ocado, so I am not sure from which supermarket he was delivering ?

But as the order was ruined, won't Ocado immediately send another one ?

No...the chap was so lovely and upset and the company contacted me as soon as he had reported to them with a very generous offer over the carpet and the inability to resend my order.....
It's really not the sort of thing that mithers me......accidents happen and I read a sad post on here yesterday that makes all else pale.... :-)

I did ask but they're so busy, Mikey they couldn't do an order in time...
I think Ocado was/is Waitrose.....recommended by a friend but as I say things go wrong.....x

thats very unlucky! I had a delivery today (Asda) .. No breakages, but !
No Cranston pickle/beetroot/wash n go/fairy liquid!!/ Gillette blades .. last two orders!

It's a mid colour, Tilly and the nap shades.....if you know what I mean....
It's about dry now and there are a few little darkish marks that could be wine or just shading.....I'll give it a good vacuum in the morning and do any more stain removal needed....doubt there's much.....
Ocado have given me a generous voucher and I could have had their insurance folk come to look.....but it's only a carpet and if it needs professional help I do know someone to do that.....much easier than waiting about for insurance folk....x

It was unlucky, Eleena......felt for the poor delivery guy though....he was so upset and apologetic.....
Mind you....ordering a spaceship and getting a duck with a dick.....having a parcel of gifts from Amazon thrown over a neighbour's high gate and spending a day in the rain....and now this.....I may give up on ordering online.... :-(
