Kill All Drug Dealers And Addicts?

Is this the way to eradicate the problem that has taken over the lives of many? Just a thought, or how else can it be solved or controlled? Oh reckons supplying heroin on the NHS will stop the dealers, I say take it further....any thoughts on the subject?

Or perhaps you'd then find that far more people than you think take drugs and would be victim to your plans. Not all drug addicts come off a addicts, lots of people take drugs, so how would it be if it was your son or daughter they earmarked?

Kva, if my daughter or son succumbed then I would deal with them in the same way, they would know my feelings from the word go. Harsh yes, but life has never been easy and one would hope that a child of mine would have more sense though I too realise that nothing is perfect.

I don't think the Nazi-esque approach of killing addicts and dealers is really the way to go.

The problem with addicition of any kind is that the initial experience is highly pleasurable - obviosuly - which leads to repeat performances until the spiral of addicition commences.

People in difficult social situations enjoy the oblivion and brief escape from dreadful lives over which they have lost control, and fall victim to criminal organisations who profit from their behaviour.

I do believe that licensed prescription heroin distribution is the way forward, the emotively named vote-catching 'War On Drugs' has used billions of pounds and failed utterly to succeed in making a dent in the problem.

Proper licencsed distribution coupled with counselling and Methodone prescriptions are the way to eradicate this distressing problems. Current policy of cutting off one of the Hydra's heads has the usual Hydra response.

Time to try something different - what can we lose?

Mamya. Once you start the process of eliminating the dealers, surely the problem would diminish or that's how I see it. Society has to take a stance and show that it won't tolerate what is going on if it is to the detriment of the population. That's my opinion anyway and how I wish we could stop this horrendous situation.

Does that mean you are selective about the specific addictions you would eliminate - 'druggies' are dirty scum who cannot be allowed to live, but gambling addicts who succomb to the rampant TV advertising they see are somehow 'clean' and therefore allowed to continue?

I'd like to think this was a sick joke, but apparently not. You do realise that drug addicts are just normal people, not all are your stereotypical mugger or robber, there are Drs, lawyers, and all round normal nice people who take drugs. If they don't commit crimes other than take drugs why would you wish them killed? That's barbaric and nonsensical and truly repulsive. I'd personally rather have people with viewpoints like that done away with to be honest.

Why stop at the addicts? I'd do all their friends and family in too. Anyone who's even heard of them. Can't trust anyone these days.

Andy, if we could stop the production of the drugs I would be more than happy and no further problems in that direction would hopefully ensue. I know life isn't perfect but this problem has escalated over the last 20 years at least. It didn't exist to the extent we see it now when I was young. Drugs seem to me to be more destructive than most addictions, how they destroy individual lives let alone the family faced to suffer it. I stand by my views and expect others to qualify their beliefs against it, but until someone has the guts to stand up to what is destroying lives wholesale and will increase in the coming years, this problem will not go away(I am sad to say).

I don't need to qualify anything I've told you that drug taking without additional crime is commonplace, you have not told me yet why you consider murdering people is acceptable. Blather about all the misery of drugs ( some of which is absolutely true) is not enough. Nothing you could ever say would make it acceptable to kill people because their choices differ from yours.I think you're quite dangerous.
