From your bank? If you pay DD?
If you've got a reminder do it online then you don't have to bother finding out (assuming you have MOT & insurance)
If you can do it online then you won't need the documents as the DVLA will have the details on their computer.
Do it on line you wont need them
Simple....tax it online....database oks it if you are insred
It's still a good idea to find out who you are insured with though.
As has been said, simply checking your bank statements might provide you with the name of your insurer.

Otherwise the only way to find it is probably by making a written data access request to the Motor Insurer's Bureau, enclosing a cheque for £10. Write to

How do you not know who you are insured with?!
Lol...it's easy Matt, especially now most people change each year. She's probably put her documents in a very very very safe place :-)
If you do not know, are you 100% sure you are actually insured ?
She will know who her insurerscare when renewal notice arrives...so tax online....result ...all problems resolved. Of course OG has a point.
I put my basic details in to my mobile phone, so I can contact them quickly in an accident.
Same with breakdown cover and house insurance.
Good idea, hc4361.
You can check to see if you are insured at askmid.com
It's the motor insurers database.
Yes I do too....also I scan and save on a memory stick all my important documents including insurance, guarantees receipts etc
You need to renew then contact your insurance company and get a duplicate certificate of insurance.
