trade plates

Here's another one for you.A builder has been working on a property near me for nearly three weeks now and drives a battered old Mercedes van.It is on trade plates.I thought they could only be used in connection with the motor trade--what do you think?

I think I'd be pretty concerned that I'd hired a builder who doesn't even pay road tax.

They are only for the motor trade.
Definately illegal. Report him to Plod,

The rules are very strict re trade plates. Report him to the DVLA as well

Update. Have reported to the police (inc. plate number)They were very interested and will be pursuing. Paul.
