250cc bike

I am after a new 250cc motorbike. Any ideas as to make and model as there are hardly any out there now. I am after this for ongoing costs and 250 is the biggest engine size I need for commuting. Nothing smaller as there is a small section of motorway.

I am 51now when I first had a motorbike I was allowed up to a 250cc bike on my provisional licence. But now I am only allowed up to a 125cc bike and need to take a CBT test is that correct.
