renualt megane scenic radio code problems

i put in my 4 digit code for the radio and held the button in for a few seconds and for some reason it now just comes up with code any ideas what this could be?

What year and model?

On my 2000 Scenic you enter the code by turning the knurled wheel located on the finger tip radio control under the steering wheel. After you enter the fourth digit the radio comes on. I assume your's is different.
