Hi all,
I am looking to buy a new used car (trade) and just wondering if I can get away with haggling a bit on price or any extras etc?
I have never done this before, so I am not sure what to expect!
Any advice much appreciated. Thanks!

If you buy on a trade basis you have no warranty, so drive a hard bargain. Buy a PARKERS GUIDE to 2nd/h prices and ignore trader waffle about original spec it is not relevant to a second hand car . You did`nt specify soneone`s choice so don`t be bullied into paying again for aircon/abs/etc. Good luck.

"new used" is an oxymoron.
I don't think I have seen a proper answer from no. knoledge since he joined Answebank, best to just ignore it.

Hi, Ist bit of advise take someone with Mech Knowlege with you, 2nd/ take cash but do not depending on price hand it over, 3rd/ again depending on price check for HP/ 4th/ get the car checked for severe damage this is where you need Mech advice 5th/ Barter-Barter-Barter go for everything you can, 6th/ if they will not drop the price within reason, walk away there are plenty of cars out there so do not be pushed into a mistake that you later regret. 6th/ do not bye in the rain or at night. Good Luck.
